Tenor Raymon CunhaTenor Raymon Cunha has enjoyed singing and performing in the Chicagoland area for the past 15 years, including appearances with Dupage Opera Theatre, The Opera Factory, and Lyric Opera of Chicago Chorus. He is currently a member of the Sing To Live Community Chorus in Oak Park, and a member of the Free Readers Ensemble, a theatrical group, also performing in Oak Park. He was also a member and soloist with Windy City Performing Arts – Unison, a mixed-voice chorus, for four seasons.   Raymon earned his Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, where he performed principal roles with Illinois Opera Theater and Opera Theater of Springfield.   His operatic roles include Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Boheme, Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata, Tamino in Mozart’sThe Magic Flute, Ferrando in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, and Camille in Lehar’s The Merry Widow.  Raymon came to Chicago from Pacific Northwest, where he performed with Seattle Opera, the Seattle Symphony, and Seattle Pro Musica.  He was also an Artist-in- Residence with The Portland Opera and an Apprentice with The Sarasota Opera.   

 

Soprano Janene BergenJanene Bergen, Soprano, is a native of St. Joseph, Michigan.  She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music Performance from the University of Montana in Missoula and a Master’s Degree in Vocal Music Performance from the Vienna Academy of Music in Vienna, Austria.  Ms. Bergen has performed extensively throughout Europe and the US.  She portrayed the role of Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte on tour throughout Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.  She was featured as the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore K339 at the Festival International de Chant in Nancy, France.  As a former member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Ms. Bergen sang in Schoenberg’s Moses und Aron under Pierre Boulez in Berlin.  She has appeared as soprano soloist with several Mid-western orchestras and choruses in such works as Handel’s Messiah and Mendelssohn’s Paulus.  She has been a featured artist at Pianoforte Chicago’s Schubertiade in the Fazioli Piano Salon in the Fine Arts Building.  Ms. Bergen co-created a program called TheThree Divas, which premiered in St. Joseph, MI.  She performed in and co-produced A Night at the Opera at The Village Players Theatre two seasons ago.  She also appeared in VPT’s productions of Santa Baby and Broadway Snapshots.  She can be heard as a frequent soloist with the Sing to Live Community Chorus, an Oak Park-based choir, built around breast cancer survivors, their families, friends and allies.  She currently resides in Oak Park and teaches voice at the Cappelli Institute of Music.
