Presents:
BOOMBALA Reunion—Two Nights Only!
Oak Park, IL - For two nights only, Village Players Theatre will bring back one of Chicago's favorite cabaret venues: BOOMBALA!
In the 80's, there was a Chicago nightclub that every performer knew and every performer had stories about. The motto was 'Music, Madness, and Meatloaf,' and every night was an adventure. There were big personalities and even bigger hair! BOOMBALA was the place where many performers got their start (and many should have finished there).
Come join your hosts Phil Johnson & Don Orlando for two wild musical nights remembering the songs and comedy that was the beginning of Chicago's Golden Age of Cabaret. The BOOMBALA Reunion: Remembering 2950 N. Lincoln Avenue with different guests each night!
Featured performers will include Beckie Menzie, Bruce Daniels, Cheri Coons, Mark Hawbecker, Karen Kennedy, Rob Dorn, Lynn Cooper, Ginger Tam, and many more!
The BOOMBALA Reunion will perform January 12, 8 PM and January 13, 3 PM. All seats are $30. Presented in the main stage space of the newly renovated Village Players Theatre located at 1010 W. Madison. Plenty of parking is available on the street. The theatre is handicap accessible; please call ahead to arrange for special seating. Tickets available at www.village-players.org or by calling 866-764-1010..
Village Players Theatre, Oak Park's Center for Performing Arts offers an eclectic mix of entertainment that empowers and inspires while exploring the human condition.
