BARS: THE GIRL ON THE PIANO
THE ONLY THING JUNG AND FREUD COULD AGREE ON
AN ORIGINAL SHOW BY SINGER/ACTRESS LISA ZANE
AT VILLAGE PLAYERS THEATRE
LIMITED ENGAGEMENT SEPTEMBER 14 TO 30, 2007
Saloon singing is as old as saloons, and endures today. Some of the best and beloved of our human repertoire the world over was meant for this casual, personal environment, and for the mere price of a drink. Actress and singer Lisa Zane (“L.A. Law," "Law & Order" and "Judging Amy”) will transport you to the far away and the familiar of these dark hideaways, with her evening of saloon songs and stories. The talented Zane comes from a family of talent. Lisa’s brother is film star Billy Zane (Titanic & Dead Calm etc.).
Collaborating with Ms. Zane is Andrew Chukerman, acclaimed composer and music director. Local director Alison Henderson takes the reign to guide this production.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 and Sundays at 3:00, September 14 to 30, 2007. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for seniors and students. Reservations can be made by phone at Village Players box office hotline 866-764-1010 or at the box office or online by visiting www.village-players.org.
