Village Players Theatre reopens its Play Ground Space with
A WALK IN THE WOODS

Village Players Theatre proudly reopens its newly renovated and expanded Play Ground
Performance Space with Lee Blessings’ A WALK IN THE WOODS. Amidst the arms
negotiations between the Soviet Union and the United States in Geneva, Russian Andrey
Botvinnik and American John Honeyman take A Walk in the Woods. Actually, they take
several and during these walks the arms negotiations are informal but the negotiations of a
friendship are very real.
A WALK IN THE WOODS is directed by Village Players’ Production Managing Director
Scott Lee Heckman who directed the inaugural Play Ground production, The Last Five
Years in March of 2006. Performing Botvinnik is Bill Brennan who has appeared on Village
Players’ stage in The Odd Couple, Twilight of the Golds, and Chad Morton's TV Christmas
Miracle. Returning to Village Players as Honeyman is Jordan Hoisington who appeared in
Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:30, June 1 to June 10,
2007. All tickets are $15.00. They can be purchased by phone at Village Players new
